Posters warning of the dangers of multi-fuel stoves, condensation and loft conversions will be displayed around the Island as part of a 12-month campaign.
The Government is launching the campaign to highlight the importance of building control and its role in creating a safe environment.
Each month will see a new issue highlighted, starting with advice for owners of multi-fuel stoves, including ensuring they're installed correctly to prevent house fires and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Future topics will include security, fire safety and saving energy.
The posters will be displayed in public buildings as well as other locations that are relevant to each topic.
Building control relates to the construction process, ensuring the building has a safe structure and that regulations are met.
