Chief Minister dismisses need for Older Person's Champion
Wed, 29 Nov 2017
Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK
The Chief Minister insists the Manx Government doesn't need to appointment a representative for older people.
Howard Quayle previously agreed to investigate whether he needed to pick an Older Person's Champion.
However, Mr Quayle confirmed the Council of Ministers considers that older people are already sufficiently represented.
The Chief Minister also insisted that older people are able to engage on their own terms unlike younger people, which is why the Government has a Children's Champion.
