One of the Island's local authorities is appealing to dog walkers to clean up after their pets around schools.
Onchan District Commissioners says parents are reaching the end of their tether over the level of dog mess being left on pavements around the schools in the area.
The board is reminding dog owners that dogs are prohibited in school grounds, and that failing to pick up dog mess is illegal, anti-social and can lead to the spread of disease.
The Commissioners insist ignorance or not having a suitable means to remove the faeces aren't reasonable excuses.
Those who are aware of problem areas can report it to the local authority through their website or by contacting the Surveyor's Department on 675564.
