The Attorney General's Chambers expects to spend over £4m on its employees salaries in the next financial year.
The Chambers employees 24 advocates, eight legal officers and 25 non-legal staff, which will cost £4,082,000 for the 2017-18 financial period - an average of over £71,000 per person.
A request under the Freedom of Information Act also revealed that just over £9,000 has been secured by the Attorney General's Chambers in Court Ordered Costs between April and September, while 20 cases were ongoing last month.
The Attorney General is the legal advisor to the Departments of the Manx Government, Council of Minister and Lieutenant Governor.
The Chambers is also responsible for drafting Bills and introducing the Island's legislature.
