An X Factor contestant from the Isle of Man claims competing in the show has left him with just £1.25 in his bank account.
Sam Black from Douglas was knocked out of the competition at the weekend.
The 20-year-old normally works as a plasterer, but revealed in an interview with the Daily Star that taking part in the talent show means he hasn't been able to work.
Black told the publication that he usually works seven days a week to make ends meet, so it's been tough having no wage coming in.
However, he now hopes to be able to make a career from singing, while a spokesman from the X Factor revealed the programme is helping him with his expenses.
