A petition calling for the Island's abortion laws to be updated will be presented to the Chief Minister today.
The Campaign for Abortion Law Modernisation - or CALM - collected 2795 signatures calling for the current laws on abortions to be reformed.
A letter to Howard Quayle accompanying the petition says the support for the campaign and the response to Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson's Abortion Reform Bill shows the Manx public believes change is necessary and overdue.
CALM is urging Mr Quayle to show the Island's neighbours and the rest of the world that women can be trusted to make their own decisions regarding reproductive healthcare.
Currently, most women must travel off Island for a private abortion if they don't want to continue with their pregnancy.
