The Isle of Man Post Office says no mail has left the Island for the last two days.
A technical problem with the mail plane on Monday resulted in an initial 24-hour delay, but further issues meant the aircraft didn't leave the Island last night either.
The Post Office is making arrangements to dispatch the mail today, connecting with the UK network for delivery tomorrow.
The delays mean priority service items such as Special Delivery and Parcelforce Express won't meet their guaranteed delivery times.
