The Government is seeking feedback from the public on plans to bring in tighter control on importing and moving cattle.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture hopes the measures would reduce the number of cases of the highly-infectious bovine viral diarrhoea.
DEFA is holding a consultation to find out the public's views further restrictions to movement, as well as more rigorous testing and enforced removal of animals from farms that are persistently infected.
12 farms on the Island were infected last year, while a further three cases have occurred so far in 2017.
Full details of the consultation can be found on the Government's website, with responses being accepted until December 29th.
