Dog owners are being reminded to keep their pets under control near livestock after a number of sheep were attacked in Douglas.
Several sheep sustained bite wounds while others scattered following the incident on private land near Governor's Hill and Douglas Lawn Cemetery on Johnny Watterson's Lane between 9am and 10am on Sunday.
Police warn those found not to be controlling their dogs near livestock will face a fine of up to £2500.
Officers described this incident as an upsetting crime which can ultimately be prevented by proper control of dogs.
