The Island's fishing authorities are urging the public to report illegal activity.
River fisheries are closed during the winter to allow salmon and sea trout to spawn.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is urging anyone who sees someone taking fish from rivers to contact the Department or their local police station if outside office hours.
DEFA warns illegal fishing activity damages the Island's economy and biodiversity by reducing the number of fish returning in the future.
The river fisheries will reopen on April 1st next year.
