The Chief Minister says he is committed to taking action against anyone found to be evading tax in the Isle of Man.

The Island's jet import VAT system, changes to tax legislation and the activity of firms with operations in the Island have been questioned in the Paradise Papers.

In this morning's sitting of the House of Keys, Howard Quayle said there will be no complacency where the Isle of Man's integrity is challenged, and that appropriate action will be taken against those abusing the system.

Mr Quayle also stressed that the Island isn't a place for those seeking to evade or aggressively avoid taxes, and that the jurisdiction is proud of its role in moving the international tax agenda forward.

The Chief Minister called for action to combat evasion and abuse to be implemented consistently and effectively globally.
