Motorists are being warned to expect delays in Douglas as resurfacing works get underway on Lord Street.
The six-week scheme, which begins this morning, will see the carriageway resurfaced between Athol Street and Ridgeway Street, while traffic signals will also be replaced.
The Department of Infrastructure will keep the road open throughout the works, but temporary traffic lights will be in place and the pedestrian crossings won't be in use.
The DoI warns changes to traffic flows, particularly near the end of the scheme, will likely cause delays.
The work is expected to be complete by December 15th.
