A petition calling for the Isle of Man Government to rethink a planning application for a temporary ice rink has received almost 800 signatures.
Tynwald Mills has had an ice rink on its site for the last three years, but was refused permission to have the facility running over Christmas this year.
Last week, the retail centre confirmed it was still trying to secure the go-ahead for this year, but that the deadline was fast approaching.
Since then, a petition has been set up, calling for the Government to support businesses like this and highlighting the contributions the ice rink has made to charities and the community.
