Man arrested, safe found following burglary at builders

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a building firm in Port Erin.

Officers have recovered the safe that was stolen from Kennaugh & Skinner in Athol Place last week and a local man has been arrested.

The Criminal Investigation Department insists there is no further risk to the public of other premises, but insists enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who saw something suspicious in the area overnight last Wednesday is urged to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
