Thieves steal safe, start fire in building firm's office

A building contractor in the south of the Island has had to move into a temporary office after thieves set fire to their premises.

Kennaugh & Skinner's Port Erin office was broken into overnight on Wednesday into Thursday last week.

The burglars took the company's safe before the office was set alight.

The firm has set up a temporary office on its site, while calls are being diverted to its Castletown office, which remains fully operational.
