The Island's police are urging the public to think about security at their homes to avoid becoming the victim of burglars.
The Manx Constabulary issued the advice on social media.
Officers suggest locking doors and windows, using timer switches to make it look like someone's home and having an alarm fitted.
They also advise repairing any damage from the recent strong winds, but ensuring ladders aren't left in plan view.
More home security advice can be found on the police's Facebook page.
