The Island's roads police are urging drivers to make sure their cars are ready for winter ahead of the clocks going back this weekend.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit will be conducting winter vehicle checks alongside Department of Infrastructure vehicle examiners from Monday.
Those found to have minor faults on the vehicles will be given seven days to correct them, but those with serious issues could face prosecution.
Police want motorists to check their lights are working, ensuring windows are demisted, remember to use fog lights when needed and check the condition of their tyres.
