A coastguard team helped a man and dog that had got stuck on a cliff face at Marine Drive.
The man had climbed down to rescue his down after it got stuck at Little Ness yesterday morning, but was unable to climb back up with the dog.
Douglas Coastguards got a line down to the man to secure the dog while a technician was lowered to secure the man, allowing them both to return to the top of the cliff safely.
The coastguards are reminding dog walkers and other members of the public not to put themselves in danger if an animal gets stuck on a cliff, and to dial 999 and ask for the coastguard instead.
The team spent around an hour at the scene before returning to the station.
