Police warn of devastating consequences of fire

Police are warning of the dangers of fire following an incident in Colby.

Members of the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team appealed for information last week after a fire was started at a barn in Ballacriy Park, resulting in those responsible coming forward.

Officers confirmed they are speaking to youngsters and their parents, but that the emphasis will be on finding a suitable resolution and keeping young people on the right track.

Police are also reminding the public that a fire can have devastating consequences including severe life changing injuries.
