The Chief Minister has praised the community spirit of those who worked during ex-Hurricane Ophelia.
The Met Office, emergency services, Manx Utilities, Civil Service, Coastguard and other bodies were all involved as winds reaching 91 miles per hour hit the Island last night.
Howard Quayle is thanking those who were involved in predicting, preparing and helping during the storm, praising the way the Island pulls together during challenging times.
Mr Quayle added that it's reassuring to know the community is well equipped to respond in such conditions.
Multiple roads were closed, sailing and flights cancelled and over 130 trees fell as the weather system reached violent storm force 11 yesterday.
