Coastguard cleans up oil leak in Peel

Peel Coastguard used absorbent booms to soak up the oil leak on Monday evening.

Peel Coastguard was called out to tackle an oil leak in the harbour.

The oil was spotted leaking from a sunken boat in Peel harbour on Monday evening.

The coastguard team found oil sheen around the vessel, and were able to use two absorbent booms to soak up the leaked material.

The crew spent over two hours tackling the leak before returning to the coastguard station.
