Man arrested in connection with stabbing incident

A man wanted in connection with a serious assault has been arrested.

Police conducted a search in Murrays Road in Douglas yesterday evening resulting in Craig Alan Varey being taken into custody.

Varey had been sought following an incident in the Stanley View area which left a man with substantial stab wounds.

Officers closed off the area while the search took place, but confirmed no-one was injured during the operation and that there was no threat to the general public.
