Police warn rumours cause problems for active investigations

The Island's police force say social media speculation about active investigations can cause issues.

The Isle of Man Constabulary has been asking the public to avoid speculation after a man was stabbed in Douglas at the weekend.

The 52-year-old sustained stab wounds in an incident in the Stanley View area shortly after 4am on Sunday.

Police confirmed they're aware of several rumours which have been circulating on social media, but that the information is incorrect.
