Manhunt launched after stabbing in Douglas

Police are appealing for help finding a man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Douglas which resulted in armed officers being called out.

Officers want to speak to Craig Alan Varey in connection with a serious assault which left a 52-year-old man with significant stab wounds.

The incident happened in the Stanley View area of Douglas in the early hours of Sunday morning, resulting in a number of roads being closed while enquiries were conducted.

Police say the victim remains in Noble's hospital and is making good progress as he receives treatment for his injuries.
