The Manx Government is still negotiating with the BBC over funding for TV licences for the over 75s.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle announced in January that a deal for the broadcaster to partially fund the licence was close.
However, MLC David Cretney recently asked for an update from the Cabinet Office, which revealed the talks were taking longer than expected.
The Government's Director of External Communications insists the licence fee concession is still on the radar, and it's hoped a further announcement will be made in the coming weeks.
Jersey has an agreement in place which will see the BBC provide partial funding for licences for those over 75 years old from next year.
