Police name cyclist killed in Poortown Road crash

Police have named the cyclist killed in a collision in the west of the Island.

Matthew McSevney died following an incident on the Poortown Road yesterday morning.

The 43-year-old was from Peel and was married with two children.

Police also confirmed the driver of the car involved in the crash was an 18-year-old female who stopped at the scene, and has spoken to officers as part of their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
