MHK proposes shorter summer break for politicians

A Member of the House of Keys wants to shorten the summer political recess.

Middle MHK Bill Shimmins is calling for Tynwald to sit in September, and that both legislative branches should set every month except August.

Tynwald currently takes a break after the July sitting until October, although politicians can still submit questions for written answer during August and September.

Mr Shimmins will present his motion at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
