Douglas man pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman

A Douglas man has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman.

Sean Declan Ridout of St Catherine's Drive appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse earlier today.

The 32-year-old is charged with common assault on a female.

He denies committing the offence outside an address on Hailwood Avenue on 14 July.

The case has been adjourned until 21 November.
