Cherry Orchard to close

A hotel and leisure facility in the south of the Island is to close.

25 jobs will be lost when the timeshare, Chequers bar, restaurant and function suite at the Cherry Orchard in Port Erin shut.

The announcement comes following a dispute between Cherry Orchard Apartments Limited and residents of the apartments over allegations they were overcharged.

The apartments, long let and swimming pool facilities will all continue to operate, while prepaid deposits will be honoured.
