Douglas Coastguard were called out after a car got stuck on a beach on the east coast of the Island.
The team was called out shortly after 6.30pm yesterday after the vehicle's owner reported being unable to get off the beach at Garwick.
Despite initial reports that the tide was coming in, the coastguard officers found the sea was actually on its way out, allowing them to tow the car off the beach.
The vehicle was recovered and all persons were accounted for, allowing the coastguard to return to the station at 7.20pm.
