Fire crews tackle hob fire

Fire crews were called out to tackle a kitchen fire in Douglas.

The team was dispatched from Douglas station at around 9.30pm yesterday after a fire started on the hob at a property on Quarterbridge Road.

Firefighters quickly tackled the blaze, meaning damage was confined to the hob only.

It's thought an electrical fault with the hob caused the fire.
