Bus drivers' overtime has cost the Government over £2m in the last five years.
Just short of £2.183m was used to fund more than 130,000 hours of additional work by bus drivers employed by the Department of Infrastructure.
However, the cost of overtime and number of hours worked has decreased each year since 2012, dropping from £491,500 to £373,000 over the last five years.
The Department is currently in a dispute with Unite and the bus drivers over plans to change holiday entitlement, which resulted in drivers refusing to work overtime during the second week of the Festival of Motorcycling.
