Opening hours to be cut at Ramsey Social Security office

Opening hours at Ramsey's Social Security office are being cut from next month.

The office on Queens Promenade will only be opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 2nd.

The facility is currently open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but the Treasury says it's no longer necessary for the office to open three days a week.

The Government revealed an increasing proportion of customers contact Social Security by phone or email, while unemployment is at a 13-year low, reducing demand for services at the Ramsey branch.
