Fire crews were called out after a firework caused a large glass fire in the north of the Island.
Officers from Kirk Michael and Ramsey were called out to the blaze at Blue Point near Smeale on Saturday night, where the fire covered an area around 100m x 30m.
The teams used two off-road vehicles to gain access to the site, spending around two hours tackling the flames with water and beaters.
The fire service is reminding the public that they must get permission and notify fire officers in advance if they plan on setting fireworks off outside the Bonfire Night and New Year's Eve periods, of they could face prosecution.
