Waiting time for ear, nose and throat operations is down from 18 months to eight according to the latest figures from the Department of Health and Social Care.
The Department says Noble's Hospital has been able to cut its waiting list as part of its review into when patients are offered certain operations.
The DHSC revealed there has also been an increase in the number of people with suspected cancer being seen within two weeks as a result of its review.
Cutting waiting times was listed as a target in the Programme for Government, and Health Minister Kate Beecroft says the latest times are very encouraging.
The Department began reviewing procedures that are known to have a low impact on health in November last year.
