Coastguard called out to help mountain bike rider

The rider was able to walk to the ambulance after the coastguard arrived.

Douglas Coastguard was called out after a mountain bike rider crashed on Snaefell.

The team were asked to help ambulance crews reach the rider on Saturday evening.

The cyclist was able to walk down to the ambulance, but the coastguard officers remained at the scene in case further assistance was needed.

The team was able to return to the coastguard station shortly before 9pm.
