The Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners says he's delighted that the Department of Infrastructure has approved its purchase of Ramsey Courthouse.
The local authority bid to buy the building from the Department of Home Affairs earlier this year after the site was placed on the open market.
After confirming the DoI has given the go-ahead for the Commissioners to proceed with the formal acquisition of the building, Andy Cowie said the board is delighted, and will be holding on open day to discuss the future of the facility in the near future.
The Commissioners will also be looking for expressions of interest from those with useful and productive ideas for the building, which the Commissioners want to benefit Ramsey residents and visitors.
The Courthouse was previously used as a post office, but closed in 2015.
