A pro-life campaign group says the Abortion Reform Bill is the most regressive piece of abortion legislation ever put before Tynwald.
The draft of the proposed changes to the Island's abortion laws was published yesterday and a public consultation opened ahead of the Bill going before Tynwald for debate.
The Humanity and Equality in Abortion Reform group describes the Bill as regressive, seriously flawed and biased, while insisting the consultation is poorly timed as some locals will be away on holiday over the next month.
HEAR claims the proposals would make abortion law more inhumane, saying it discriminates against babies with disabilities and removes protections for the unborn.
Members of the public can read the full proposals and provide feedback through the Government's website.
