Car sustains extensive damage in Peel

The owner of the vehicle was unable to open the passenger door as a result of the damage.

Police are investigating after a car sustained extensive damage, leaving the driver unable to open the passenger door.

The owner of the vehicle returned to the car opposite the SPAR shop and garage in Atholl Street in Peel yesterday when she discovered the damage.

Officers say the damage has happened in the last week, and appears to have been caused by a red vehicle colliding with the car.

The police believe the incident happened last Wednesday, when it's thought a woman may have seen what happened before heading into the SPAR shop.

Police are keen to hear from any witnesses, as well as anyone who has seen a red vehicle with damage.
