Port Erin promenade closed while hotel demolition takes place

A section of Port Erin promenade will be closed this week while demolition work on a derelict hotel takes place.

The route is shut from Maine Road to Rowany Villas while the Royal Hotel is demolished.

Property developer Dandara has planning permission to build flats in place of the hotel, which closed in 2008.

The road will remain closed until Sunday to allow the work to be completed.
