An investigation is underway after a tram on the Snaefell Mountain Railway suffered a brake failure.
The incident happened as the tram carriage was coming down the mountain yesterday afternoon near the Bungalow.
Isle of Man Railways confirmed a brief lapse in the electric braking system was the likely cause the problem, but the mechanical brakes were then activated.
A second tram was sent to bring the passengers back to the Laxey station, with none of those on board reported to be injured.
