Inflation on the Isle of Man climbed to 4.6% in July.
The Consumer Prices Index rose by 0.6% last month, having stood at 4% in June.
The Treasury says transport is the main reason for the rise, with air travel costing 16.2% more than at the same time last year.
Oil and other fuels and men's outerwear were among the other categories that have seen by rises.
However, internet subscriptions, plasters and cheese are all cheaper than at this time last year.
