Police, coastguard help vulnerable person

A Douglas Coastguard team was called out in the early hours of the morning to help a vulnerable person in Douglas Marina.

The coastguard was contacted by the police after the person was found on one of the ladders in the area shortly before 2am.

Three coastguard officers were prepared in dry suits ready to enter the water if needed.

However, police were able to talk the person round, and the coastguard was stood down at 2.45am.
