Council submits planning application for splash park

Douglas Borough Council is seeking planning permission to create a children's water play and splash area in Noble's Park.

The facility would be housed on the redundant tennis court currently situated in the park.

The area would include a spray loop tunnel, sneaky soakers and ground sprays, as well as other equipment split across three sections aimed at different age groups.

The Council has already approved a budget of £175,000 for the splash park, which would also include picnic tables and seating in the surrounding area.

The local authority asked for public feedback on the plans earlier this year, receiving almost 2,000 likes on Facebook.
