Car rolls onto tram lines

Fire crews were called to the scene of a car crash after a vehicle rolled onto the tram lines in Onchan.

The incident happened shortly before 9am this morning on King Edward Road.

The vehicle had rolled and landed back on its wheels across the Manx Electric Railway lines, with the driver able to get himself out before the fire service arrived.

The team made the vehicle safe and isolated the power to the railway so the car could be recovered.

The driver was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.
