Peel Coastguard is reminding the public not to attempt to rescue an animal themselves after being called out to help a sheep at the bottom of a cliff.
Members of the public reported the issue to the team, who decided it was best to recover the sheep, despite no person being in danger.
The coastguard believe the rescue will have prevented a possible incident, as well as giving the team a chance to practice cliff recovery methods.
The sheep was given a quick check over after being brought to the top of the cliff and released away from the edge.
The coastguard is urging anyone who spots a person or animal in trouble not to attempt a rescue themselves, but to call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
