Public urged to avoid A&E following crash

The public is being asked to avoid the Emergency Department at Noble's Hospital following the serious crash in Laxey this morning.

The Department of Health and Social Care says waiting times are currently around five to six hours as a result of the incident.

Those needing treatment are being urged to consider visiting the Minor Injuries Unit at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital or contacting their GP or the out of hours Manx Emergency Doctors Service.

The road through Laxey was closed for several hours while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
