Petition launched against beer tent plans

Bushy's Beer Tent

A petition against Douglas Borough Council's decision to stop Bushy's Brewery operating in the Bottleneck Car Park during TT fortnight is gaining support.

Over 200 people have added their names to the appeal on change.org after it was announced Hooded Ram had been awarded a five-year contract to operate a beer tent on the site.

Bushy's set up the tent 20 years ago, and said it was extremely sad to be leaving the site.

The petition is calling for the contract to be given to Bushy's instead, describing the decision as short-sighted and not taking into account the true value Bushy's brings to TT.

Bushy's insists it has already started preparations for entertainment at a different site.
