The Department of Economic Development will be renamed and have fewer responsibilities following a review.
From October, the organisation will be rebranded as the Department of Enterprize following a report by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
The Department will focus on economic strategy and business development, as well as maintaining responsibility for the TT.
Management of the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre, plus training services will be taken over by the Department of Education and Children, while the Treasury will take charge of employment services.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will take over the energy policy, while the responsibility for mining and mineral operations will be transferred to the Department of Infrastructure.
