Coastguard tackle oil leak in Douglas outer harbour
Mon, 17 Jul 2017
The Coastguard had to deal with a pollution incident in one of the Island's harbours after a boat leaked oil.
The old fishing vessel is in the process of being broken up in Douglas outer harbour, and at some stage over the weekend has leaked oil.
Douglas crews were called out at around 1.30pm yesterday to contain the leak.
The team used an oil boom around the boat to contain the pollution before towing the boom away from the area to remove the oil.
